What does it ‘mean’ to ‘read’ ‘books’ in the third decade of the twenty-first century?

Learning Outcomes

  1. Students will demonstrate their understanding of how twentieth century writers have demonstrated a sensitivity to contemporary technological development
  2. Students will demonstrate their understanding of how late twentieth century and early twenty-first century  writers have explored and experimented with the Internet
  3. Students will apply their understanding of some of the theoretical concepts that have inspired modern and contemporary writers and start to think about what forms contemporary digital ‘poetics’ might take 
  4. Students will, through curation and creative practice,  demonstrate their understanding of and appreciation for online and offline writing and projects through
  5. Students will be able to write and publish digitally and analyze and produce audiovisual content in order to communicate through a variety of digital media (CCD LO1)
  6. Students will be able to interpret, report, and synthesize data and present it in various formats visually (CCD LO3)
