  •  8 credits will be awarded in the following cases
    • For each Advanced Placement Test of the College Board passed with a grade of 4 or above, not to exceed 24 credits;
    • For each HL score of 4 or above for International Baccalaureate Diploma results between 24 and 29; 
    • For each HL score of 4 or above for International Baccalaureate Certificate results. 
  • 11 credits awarded per suject for each GCE "A" Level examination in which an A, B or C was achieved, not to exceed 32 credits;
  • 32 credits awarded for any of the following:
    • Austrian Matura with a minimum overall grade of bestanden ("passed")
    • Bulgarian Diploma za Sredno Obrazovanie with a minimum average grade of 4 
    • Danish Studentereksamen with a minimum average grade of 9 
    • Dutch VWO (Voorbereidend Wetenschappelijk Onderwijs) with a minimum average of 6 
    • European Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum average of 70% 
    • Finnish Ylioppilastutkintotodistus /Studentexamensbetyg with a minimum average grade of magna cum laude approbatur (5) 
    • French Baccalauréat 
    • German Abitur with a minimum grade of 3 
    • International Baccalaureate Diploma results of 30 or above 
    • Italian Maturita with a minimum grade of 60/100 
    • Lebanese Baccalauréat 
    • Norwegian Vitnemål videregående opplærin with a minimum average grade of 4 
    • Romanian Diploma de bacalaureat with a minimum average grade of 6 
    • Swedish Fullständigt Slutbetyg från Gymnasieskolan with a minimum average grade of VG (15) 
    • Swiss Matura 

Advanced Academic Standing can never exceed a maximum of 32 credits in the event of an accumulation of multiple secondary school examinations. The University does not recognize any other secondary school examinations for advanced standing other than those listed above.

Responsibilities: The Advising Center and the Office of the Registrar work together to evaluate and process advanced standing credit.

Definitions: Advanced standing credit: Advanced standing credit is academic credit awarded by AUP to students with qualifying diplomas or exam results approved for receiving university credit.
